September 11th, also known as Patriot Day, is a day that will forever live in infamy in American History. On this day, in 2001, four coordinated terrorist attacks left nearly 3,000 people dead in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. We continue to honor and remember those who lost their lives in the tragic attacks including the heroes, armed forces, first responders, and countless others' acts of service to defend the freedom of our nation. We also want to keep in mind the families of the 9/11 victims as well as survivors of the attacks. September 11 is a day to reflect on American identity, patriotism, security, and service.
