April is Month of the Military Child and several events are taking place in South Carolina to recognize military-connected children in our state. Established in 1986 by Caspar Weinberger, a former Defense Secretary, Month of the Military Child honors the 1.6 million young heroes in the United States who face many challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents' service to this country. Governor Henry McMaster has declared April as Month of the Military Child in South Carolina. To view the proclamation click here. This list of public events will be updated throughout the month.
