In recognition of soldiers, retired military, and their families Fort Jackson is hosting several events for its 2024 Retiree Appreciation Days. Beginning with the Garrison Commander’s online message, activities will take place from May 16th to May 18th. Attendees can expect to learn information concerning available retirement services, participate in engaging activities, and more. For a detailed schedule of events, please see below.

Thursday
May 16, 2024
- 7:30 a.m.: Garrison Commander's Online Message to Retirees. Click HERE to join the virtual broadcast.
- 9:00 a.m.: Basic Training Graduation Ceremony and Salute to Retirees. Speaker: Lieutenant Colonel (RET) Charles (Charlie) Farrell. Reserved seating under the covered bleachers. Arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. to be escorted to reserved seating.

May 17, 2024
- 9:00 a.m.: 20th Annual Retiree Appreciation Day Golf Tournament (shotgun start) on Wildcat Course. All military Retirees, Veterans, civilians and their guests are eligible to participate.
- Tournament format is Captain's Choice, Gross, and Net Scoring
- Entry fee: $45 for FJGC members, $55 for authorized patrons, and $60 for civilian guests
- Register by calling the FJGC golf shop at 803-562-4437
Saturday
May 18, 2024
- 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Retiree Health and Benefits EXPO at the Solomon Center, Strom Thurmond Blvd.
- Keynote Speaker: Director Shelia A. Jackson, Veteran's Affairs Regional Office will provide updates and a Q & A session at 10:00 a.m.
- Moncrief Army Health Clinic will provide health screening and counseling booths to include blood pressure screenings
- Agencies represented will include: DENTAC, TRICARE, AER, AWC,GEHA, Dept of Veteran's Affairs Region Offices and Health Services, AAFES, Veteran's Fashion, AAFMAA, Humana, and more
- 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.: ID Card Services in building 5450 Strom Thurmond Blvd, Strom Thurmond Bldg.
- 9:30 a.m.: AAFES in Store Sales at the Main PX and Commissary in store sales begin
- 11:00 a.m.: Victory Bingo at the Fort Jackson Victory Bingo games
