COLUMBIA, S.C. (SCDVA) - The South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs (SCDVA) is teaming up with Harvest Hope Food Bank to host a food drive dedicated to feeding Veterans and their families in the Midlands for the Thanksgiving holiday. The food drive will be held starting on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11th and run through Friday, November 18th.
A news conference and drop-off event will be held at Harvest Hope Food Bank at 2220 Shop Road in Columbia on Monday, November 21st at 11 a.m. Harvest Hope is seeking shelf-stable, non-perishable food items. A list of most needed items can be found here.
Several Midlands businesses have agreed to serve as convenient community donation drop off locations:

Harvest Hope Food Bank joined the South Carolina Veteran Coalition on June 22, 2022 to assist Veterans with overcoming food insecurities in the Midlands.
